After speaking with my mother I returned to our room with tea and biscuits, she has changed into a saree. After eating and drinking she asked. “Shall we go out?”

“I would like to, but how?” I asked.

“I shall dress you properly” She said.
She opened the wardrobe and took a floor length maroon silk skirt and same colour top. She gave it to me and said. “Wear this, it be easy to manage than saree.”

I removed the saree and blouse and wore the skirt over the petticoat and the top. She took me to the mirror and made me sit in front of it. She opened a drawer and took out a wig and placed on my head. She applied light make up on my face. I forgot to tell two things, I already had my ears pierced and that my mother-in-law gave me a herb to eat every day after lunch from the second day she came to our home, as a result of it I already had small breasts, there was no need to do modifications on my chest. We were ready, we walked out of the room, not as boy and girl, not as lady and maid but as friends, close friends, best friends.

I took the car key from the shelf as I walked out. She took it from my hand and placed it back where it was.

“Why?” I asked.

“We are going to walk to the main road and take a bus.” She said.

“Why bus!?” I asked.

“You need to get used to being a girl among other people.” She said.

I agreed and we both walked out of the house.
